Founder & Owner
Judy Collins
Ms. Judy - owner/ operator, and main instructor established her school in 1980. She has taught dance for the University of Pittsburgh, Community College of Allegheny County, Pittsburgh Center for the Performing Arts, and Cannon McMillan School District, along with other dancing studios in the South Hills area. She has been operating the Dance Program for the Peters Township School District's Elementary Program for over 30 years now along with her school. Ms. Judy is the proud mother of two with two grandchildren.
Our Teachers
Anne Beck
Ms. Annie grew up dancing at Judy's School of Dance Arts. She earned a B.S. in Elementary Education (K-6) with a minor in Exceptionalities (Special Education) in 2013 from Slippery Rock University. While at SRU she was the co-captain of the Rocklettes Drill Team. After graduating, Ms. Annie was fortunate to be able to come back and teach alongside her childhood dance teacher. Ms. Annie loves musical theater and performed with Stage 62 in their production of The Wedding Singer. She also teaches dance with Ms. Judy for the Peters Township School District. When Ms. Annie is not teaching dance, she can be found teaching 5th grade at Archangel Gabriel Catholic School (Robinson). She also directs the AGS middle school musical. Ms. Annie also earned a M.Ed. in Elementary Education Mathematics and Science (K-8) from Slippery Rock University. Ms. Annie is expecting a baby boy in June 2023!
Cristy Crawshaw
Ms. Cristy has been a student of Ms. Judy's since she was a little girl. She has studied with other schools in the Pittsburgh area while attending Judys. In high school Ms. Cristy was on the Cougerette Drill Team and participated in their musicals as a lead dancer. She has performed & trained with Pittsburgh Musical Theater, Radio City Rockettes and surrounding community theaters where she has held titles as Dance Captain and Assistant Choreographer. Ms. Cristy works with Mrs. Annie to choreograph & direct for the AGS middle school musicals while also choreographing for Carlynton's High School Musical each spring. She was on Westminster College's Titanette Drill Team before she transferred to Point Park University and received scholarship to compete on their collegiate cheer and dance teams, placing 4th nationally in 2018. She's interned at Walt Disney World and graduated in spring of 2020 with a B.S. in Sports, Arts, and Entertainment Management. She currently works full time with inside sales at ADP. (Robinson)
